Twelve good reasons to listen to Antón García Abril's Music
This is the title of the 12-CD box that has just been released in Spain to celebrate AGA's 70th birthday. The box is available now from FUNDACION AUTOR for €58 (58 Euros) but will be soon available in separate discs. We recorded the choral music of one of Spain´s most distinguished contemporary composers, Antón García Abril. The recording took place at St Jude´s Hampstead (see our picture gallery) in September 2004. We were joined by the composer and we recorded two of the pieces with the London Symphony Orchestra Strings, soprano María Orán, cellist Asier Polo and organist Charles Matthews.
